Supreme Clover is a great addition to any food plot program. It can be the foundation for your food plot program or a nice complement to a diverse planting that includes fall offerings of cereal grains and brassicas. Similarly, it can also strengthen corn and soybean plantings in agricultural heavy states located throughout the Midwest.
We use four different types of white clovers in our Supreme Clover blend. This helps to ensure that you have at least one variety that is peaking or thriving at any given time. It also makes your clover plots highly versatile helping to maintain their attraction when exposed to different growing conditions including drought, excess rain, and even seasonal temperature changes.
Our chosen clovers are highly palatable and provide an excellent protein source (up to 25%) available to deer from spring green-up through late season. Having high protein food plots on your property provides excellent forage for lactating does and for bucks growing their racks for the upcoming season. Supreme Clover is a great choice for properties when your goal is to build your deer herd for the Fall hunting months. Just be sure to include other food plot plantings for that time frame for increased diversity on your properties.
It will do well on most soil types. We do not recommend planting this blend on sandy soils.
Supreme clover can be established by frost seeding in late winter, a spring planting, or with a cereal grain planting (we recommend winter rye) in the Fall.
Planting rate is 8 to 12 pounds per acre.
