Brassicas are a very critical part of a fall food plot system. We recommend planting brassicas in 50% of your food plot along with a diverse cereal grain mix like Autumn Ambush.
Whitetail Frenzy Brassicas is a very diverse mix designed to provide tons of forage throughout hunting season. It contains multiple turnip varieties, forage radishes, kale, collards, and ethiopian cabbage.
The radishes provide numerous soil benefits and will get attention early in the season. Our turnip varieties provide plenty of protein making it a solid attraction as the season progresses. Deer will eat the tops and then return as winter approaches concentrating on the bulbs. Food sources will be dwindling in the northern parts of the whitetails range, and the bulbs provide energy rich carbohydrates that deer crave as they ready their bodies for winter.
Kale, forage collards, ethiopian cabbage, and forage brassica are all non-bulb producing varieties that offer strong regrowth potential making them easy to withstand heavy grazing. This ensures plenty of forage for deer all season long. In addition to being highly attractive they have each been specifically chosen as they are extremely palatable and easily digestible.
Planting rate is 3 pounds for a half-acre and 6 pounds for 1 acre.
